Have you done it? Are you doing it?
I first saw this idea in Instagram-Land. I figured that I probably read a book a day to my class. But I wasn't entirely sure. I figured this would be a good way to keep me accountable. I set up the blank bulletin board over the summer and jumped right in from day one. We have had 52 days of school this year and I am way past my goal! But I love that this board keeps me accountable - there is no reason I can't spare 5-10 minutes for a quick read aloud on even the busiest of days - and if we are nearing the end of the day and haven't had a read 'sit down and read to the kids' moment, one of my little pumpkins is sure to remind me.
Feeling pretty good about the books we've read and hoping to read more and more and more....
